Twillarydee and Twumpdedum: "I don't suppose there wil be a [democracy] left standing for ever so far around, by the time we're finished]"

Some thoughts on the two party candidates:

To say one prefers "the lesser of two evils" is to promote a defeatist, fatalist attitude.  Don't surrender and assist the status quo of a fraudulent twin party $y$yem!

Hillary Clinton has proven by her actions to be a benefactor and facilitator of human rights violations as well as environmental pollution & plunder of natural resources around the globe!

Trump is no politician. Nor is he a respectable business man—but while he proclaims he is not beholding to any other corporate money, presuming that will endear him to the average citizen—he himself IS corporate money and his very running for office therefore veritably draws back the curtain that hides the fact that money IS behind current politics. Government is a racket it has been said; it is a front for corporate greed, of Empire.
The Clintons are a great example of self-serving American elected officials taking advantage of a subverted system shielded by the curtain of the publics weary eye—and Trump merely states he will do away with that curtain altogether and that we should be happy about it.
So both Hillary and Trump offer Americans the same rotten figurehead—one dressed in the Emperors new clothes, and the other naked and proud of his ugly ass!

Don't see how anyone in good faith can vote for either the Republican's or Democrat's candidates. So with voting for Stein my conscience will be clear and I welcome an intensification of my future political involvement —an unfortunate election of Trump will ensure a political reboot, as in a cleaning of house of the corrupted and a rescinding of Citizens United and in the least a resumption of the Glass Steagall act if not a breaking up of the big financial and insurance institutions. Let the real contest begin with evil on one side and the common good on the other. That's when the courageous step up and the sheepish return to a foul pen!

Too big to fail?

It's a dysfunctional system that penalizes Doctors (HMO Drs) & teachers (required by Common Core Standards) who actually have the misfortune of being presented with difficult to treat/educate  patients/students.  Health Maintenance physicians of course aren't actually "penalized," but rather are incentivized to spend less time and money on patients for they benefit from their facility's profits.  Similarly, the reputation of teachers can be mischaracterized for their performance can not justly be gauged by mere review of the test scores of their students.

So the point is, we've let business models downgrade the efficacy of these two institutions; medicine and education need to revert their focus back to the patient and the student.

It should also be considered alarming that many other agencies that purport to benefit our citizens don't even come close to benefitting for similar reasons of profit at the cost of the public's general well-being. How is obtaining natural gas even a sane industry if it destroys the potability of water? How is any production at all justified if it contaminates our environment with concentrations of toxins!?  How is it not fatally ironic that for the sake of leisure, comfort and mobility we've created the nightmarish job of cleaning up after ourselves?!  Worse, we claim to be a superior species, yet we've managed to decimate many and threaten all the rest.  Some of the worst industries are associated with promoting and building our shelters while deforesting the earth, evicting millions of creatures from their accustomed habitats.

So, you think it's the banks fault aye?  They're just a scratch on the surface—and we are wrong to presume humankind is too big to fail. Look around you. The inevitable is downward, Sisyphus!

Why I object to the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration rules for commercial drivers

http://www.wsj.com/articles/seasonal-allergy-symptoms-such-as-watery-eyes-sneezing-and-fatigue-can-significantly-impair-driving-ability-1403563636

This article confirms what I've always known about my physical reaction to pollens in the air and should lead one to acknowledge that synthetic air pollutants as well effect one while driving during heavy traffic periods, and perhaps even more so.

I am compelled then to question the derivation of the FMCSA's and AMA's assumption that sleep apnea is the primary cause of drowsy drivers and accidents when it is clear that immediate environmental conditions are more likely the culprits.

Medications however, according to this article, do not alleviate the effect on drivers experiencing the allergic response so of course the pharmaceutical industry can't benefit from this... nor is industry likely to acknowledge that vehicle gases are to blame. No the onus is back on the driver who must surely have a defective body and poor sleep conditions since "drowsiness" occurs during the daylight hours.

I object therefore to the new rules for commercial drivers that appear only to single out and disqualify or financially burden overweight individuals and snorers!

America is a "reality show" ...

What worries me with regard to the future of America? ... here's a short list: (add your own)

state sponsored assassination of black youth

new law re detaining w/out trial 4 indefinite time period

increase in inmate population during and since Bill Clinton administration

Patriot Act, NSA, privacy & what is classified as terrorism

new dsm code/classification of adult dissent as a disorder

new fed capital crimes and employment policies effecting citizens and employees (eg, less fulltime & more part time; reduced pensions & health insurance coverage)

delineation of blood pressure norm lowered which also increased sales of meds and increased employment barriers

vaccinations now required by law for public school attendance

lax regulations of industries during and since Reagan administration

revolving door and Citizens United v FEC ultimately expose white house as corporate hq and the general public as a disposable externality

What's become of the presidential election process and media coverage: everything is a spectacle and politics especially is a reality show!

oil and natural gas proponents' destruction of environment and thwarting sustainable alternatives of energy

Monsanto & other poisons/chemical producers'  corrupt science in league w infiltrated EPA, FDA etc

Pharmaceutical industry and corrupt science eg

Banking system, IMF and prevalence of global debt

Huge Military budget v reduced or nonexistent Healthcare for large sector of public

misreported unemployment

"shrinkflation" and the cost of food, shelter...

unprovoked violence, increase in unsupervised youth in the streets

I'm sure I left something out but do you see where this is going? It's an indictment of all of us. We let this happen! Because we're so addicted to our leisures and entertainments forgetting that too is getting harder to acquire. This is the pressure mounting, the temperament firing up what could easily turn into revolt. People don't say "if" anymore. They say "when".

The next global revolution has already begun...

More than Sanders' "political revolution" — what IS required is an entirely new and pervasive cultural mindset, a revised ethical framework founded on the survival of all life on earth, of humanity thinking as life itself and not just as one species.

Regardless, there will be deep suffering for all families and communities, especially those that greatly depend upon polluting,  unsustainable industries, and their facilitating agencies — whether we all choose rationally to scrap our predatory hoarding and plunder, or whether the upending comes violently as mass revolts, the suffering has already commenced.
