new law re detaining w/out trial 4 indefinite time period
increase in inmate population during and since Bill Clinton administration
Patriot Act, NSA, privacy & what is classified as terrorism
new dsm code/classification of adult dissent as a disorder
new fed capital crimes and employment policies effecting citizens and employees (eg, less fulltime & more part time; reduced pensions & health insurance coverage)
delineation of blood pressure norm lowered which also increased sales of meds and increased employment barriers
vaccinations now required by law for public school attendance
lax regulations of industries during and since Reagan administration
revolving door and Citizens United v FEC ultimately expose white house as corporate hq and the general public as a disposable externality
What's become of the presidential election process and media coverage: everything is a spectacle and politics especially is a reality show!
oil and natural gas proponents' destruction of environment and thwarting sustainable alternatives of energy
Monsanto & other poisons/chemical producers' corrupt science in league w infiltrated EPA, FDA etc
Pharmaceutical industry and corrupt science eg
Banking system, IMF and prevalence of global debt
Huge Military budget v reduced or nonexistent Healthcare for large sector of public
misreported unemployment
"shrinkflation" and the cost of food, shelter...
unprovoked violence, increase in unsupervised youth in the streets
I'm sure I left something out but do you see where this is going? It's an indictment of all of us. We let this happen! Because we're so addicted to our leisures and entertainments forgetting that too is getting harder to acquire. This is the pressure mounting, the temperament firing up what could easily turn into revolt. People don't say "if" anymore. They say "when".
