The great majority of the causes of disease are environmental, meaning foreign substances or living entities that we are exposed to or ingest. The "allergies" and even the mutations some are afflicted with which we call birth "defects" should not be thought of as strictly inheritances of genetic flaws necessarily but rather potentially that the burden of proof that our bodies are perfect until contaminated remains hidden from our otherwise observant eye by powerful groups, those of industry and agencies that benefit from misrepresenting the causes of our illnesses.
Just as most of us have lost the ability to navigate the surface of our earth by referring to the stars, we have also shrunken our view to the immediate moment and cast the precautionary principle to the wind. I stand firmly in this belief that too many of us have lost this tenacity of observance. "Sapere Aude!"
